Paintings Inspired by the Bay

Meet Abigail, a local Tauranga artist. She has always loved painting and launched back into it in the 2020 lockdown. Abigail relishes using bold colour and texture to reflect the beauty and delight in creation. Pallet knives are one of her favorite tools to create impressionist acrylic paintings.

Originally from England, Abigail moved to New Zealand in 2010 seeking adventure and a change from full time Optometry. After a few years involved in medical clinics in the Pacific Islands, Abigail married Zanda - a Kiwi. They now have 3 young children.

Abigail loves painting trees and flowers, often near water. She is never short of inspiration around the Bay of Plenty. Zanda makes stunning custom floating frames that enhance the paintings. Abigail loves painting big commissions, but can do smaller ones too. These start from $200. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss a possible painting or have any questions.
